Dr. Parrott offers a number of cosmetic options to his patients so they can look and feel their best whatever their age. In addition to transforming teeth through cosmetic dentistry.
Cosmetic Procedures
Years of exposure to staining agents such as red wine, coffee, tea, and tobacco can turn teeth a dull, yellow color. Over the counter whitening toothpastes and “strips” work poorly and fail to restore teeth to a brilliant, sparkling white. Only medical-grade whitening techniques such as those used by Dr. Parrott are effective enough to whiten teeth up to eight shades in about an hour.

Before beginning the tooth whitening procedure, your teeth will be thoroughly cleaned to ensure that they become as white as possible. Then, Dr. Parrott will apply a peroxide-based gel to your teeth and direct a light towards your mouth that activates the gel’s whitening properties. During the hour-long procedure, all you need to do is simply relax while hydrogen peroxide molecules penetrate the enamel of your teeth.
After just an hour, you will be amazed at the difference in the color of your teeth; they will be noticeably whiter and brighter. To help you maintain your dazzling new appearance, Dr. Parrott will provide you with an easy-to-use whitening kit to take home with you.

Take-home teeth whitening kits are an incredibly effective form of teeth whitening for patients who are not good candidates for the in-office procedure. After making a cusThomas mold of your teeth, Dr. Parrott will provide you with trays that fit comfortably in your mouth, along with a supply of whitening gel and instructions. Most people choose to wear the trays overnight, while they sleep. In just a few days, you will begin to see remarkable results, comparable to those received through in-office teeth whitening.

Sometimes, teeth need a little extra help to look their best. Porcelain veneers can be used to close small spaces between teeth, correct crooked or chipped teeth, or even to improve the color of teeth stained by tetracycline (which may not respond to in-office or take-home whitening techniques). Perhaps the biggest benefit of veneers is that patients achieve their new, made-over smile in just two office visits. Contact our practice to learn more about veneers and whether they’re right for you.
